Static Movement Monitoring
South East Site Engineers Ltd (SESE) were approached to carry out structural movement monitor
reports on an existing 3-storey house as part of the construction party wall agreement for a new
basement. Working closely with our client Knapp Hick & Partners Ltd, we organised for our
movement monitoring visits to take place prior, during, and after this basement construction.
Here, our monitoring team collated 14no. non-intrusive reflectorless targets on the existing front
and rear faces of the two adjoining properties, meaning that the properties did not have to be
physically touched at any time. After each visit, the client was able to analyse changes that had
occurred by reviewing our post visit monitoring reports.
Using our precise monitoring systems, the clients are able to determine when a contractor has to
make improvements to their system of work before any long-term damage is caused.
All data is shown in both numerical and graphical form for easier interpretation.
